This master bedroom was designed for a couple downsizing into a home full of character, and the starting point for the entire scheme was a bespoke Sanderson Anthos headboard, from which every other decision naturally followed. Warm, inviting red is balanced with fresh blue accents to create a room that feels both cosy and calm, while a new neutral wool carpet, laid over a thick underlay, makes the floor wonderfully soft and warm underfoot. Custom-made roman blinds and a matching bed valance repeat the room's colours throughout, with thermal and blackout lining specified for this east-facing room to keep early morning light at bay. Cherished antique and vintage pieces were woven in alongside new, custom-made furniture, and everything was sourced and made locally to keep transport and waste to a minimum. Even the offcuts had a purpose, with leftover fabric remnants transformed into cushions rather than sent to landfill. The result is a warm, considered room that feels every bit as personal as it does polished — exactly the kind of space you want to flop into at the end of a long day.
